We leave Cusco heading Southeast in the direction of the Four Lakes and firstly pass through the village of Tipón. Here we will visit the archeological site where the element of water was worshipped. We then visit the Huacarpay Lake followed by the ancient ruins at Pikillaqta, later passing by the San Pedro de Andahuaylillas church, often called the Cistine chapel of the Americas, arriving finally in the small town of Urcos where we will undertake a short technical check of the bikes. We then take the Cusco to Puno road passing through Quiquijana and Cusipata en route. After crossing the Chuquikawana bridge we climb to the village of Pomacanchi with its lake where we will pass the rest of the day taking boat excursions and exploring. Here we will be having dinner and spending the night. On the second day we leave Pomacanchi and travel towards the lakes of Acopia, Asnacocha and Pampamarca. We then head towards Yanaoca and the village of Quehue where we will visit the famous hanging bridge of Queswachaca constructed in the Inca style using ichu (straw). After this visit we return to Cusco passing through the small village of Combapata en route. Difficulty:
