| There
are so many things to do and see in and around Cusco and
you never have enough time so we have tried to make things
a little easier by providing a sample itinerary below for
a 6-day visit. If you have more or less time we can modify
your activities to suit your wishes. If you have more time
obviously there are many other things to do such as the
Inca Trail or another trek or day walk, adventure sports
and other off the beaten track places you can visit. |
 |
| A
general description of the tours and packages is shown below
the itinerary idea along with some prices to help you plan.
We only use good quality, reputable and safe service providers
so you can really enjoy yourself. You may find cheaper operators
elsewhere but we pride ourselves on providing a good, reliable
service with a personal touch. When you book with us you
get picked up from the airport or bus station and transferred
to your hotel and be given a briefing when we can answer
any questions you have. |
 |
|
Please
bear in mind that in high season spaces are very limited
and therefore we need to make bookings as far in advance
as possible often (but not always) with a deposit to secure.
See our payment page for instructions.

When
you arrive in Cusco you could simply jump into a taxi and
head off to your hotel. We think that arriving in a new
city and perhaps speaking no Spanish is sometimes a little
difficult. We offer a personal pick-up by someone who organizes
your transfer to your hotel. Later, when you have settled
in, we come to meet you to give you a briefing about what
you will be doing, answer questions, take any payments due
and give you any tickets you may need. The cost of this
will be between 5 and 15 USD depending upon the size of
group.

Cusco
city tour
This
tour is a great introduction to Cusco and its nearby ruins.
It runs in the afternoon and visits the Koricancha (Sun Temple),
the Cathedral, Sacsaywaman fortress which is simply amazing,
and then the three smaller Inca ruins nearby. Private, comfortable
transport and an English-speaking guide are provided. Entrance
fees are not included. Cusco has a system of tourist tickets
and in some cases individual entrance fees that can be bought
at the time of the visit. Which ticket you need will vary according
to where you want to go but if you do absolutely everything
in Cusco and the Sacred Valley you will need to budget for around
25.00 USD for entrance fees.
City
tour cost 12 USD per adult, 10 USD per child
Sacred
Valley tour
This
tour visits various attractions in the Sacred Valley with private
transport and an English-speaking guide. The tour runs only
on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays to coincide with the Market
in Pisaq, the first point of call. The tour then visits Urubamba
for an excellent buffet lunch which is included in the price.
Third visit is the spectacular site at Ollantaytambo and finally
the Inca village of Chincheros with its fine church.
Sacred
Valley tour cost including lunch - 23 USD per adult, 19 USD
per child.
Private
day walks
There
are many people who do not wish to walk the Inca trail, maybe
they dont have the time in their schedule. What we offer
are privately led walks around the Sacred Valley. Taking a taxi
or bus out to the start point we walk, carrying a box lunch
and drinks, for the day before returning to Cusco. We will see
some parts of the valley that others will not see. These walks
will be gentle to moderate and are tailored for people who are
not hardcore trekkers and everyone can enjoy them. We can cater
for 2 to 15 people. The cost will vary according to group size,
please consult us.
Day
trip to Machu Picchu
One
of the most spectacular sites in the world and a must see when
you are in Peru. The site can be visited in one day from Cusco
or you can stay overnight. Regardless of whether you stay overnight
or not we offer a complete high quality package to take the
hassle out of your visit.
Package
includes pick up and drop off at your hotel in Cusco, train
tickets in either Backpacker or Vistadome service (Vistadome
has more comfortable carriages and semi windowed roof for better
viewing), bus tickets up and down to the site, a guide meets
you on the train and gives you a guided tour of the site and
entrance fees (37.00 USD) to Machu Picchu are also included.
Machu
Picchu package on Backpacker train 157 USD per person,
Vistadome train 198 USD per person
Inca
Trail to Machu Picchu
This
is one of the most famous treks in the world. This 4-day journey
is very popular and with good reason as you walk through beautiful
scenery to reach your goal of seeing Machu Picchu from the sun
gate. The trek package includes transfers to and from your hotel,
train and bus tickets, guide, assistant guide, porters and cook,
plenty of good food and water to fill your bottles, tents and
equipment, dinning tent with stools, sleeping mats, guided tour
of Machu Picchu, entrance fees to the trail and Machu Picchu
site etc etc. In fact the only thing not included is your sleeping
bag which you can hire in Cusco.

Private
Sacred Valley tour
We
run a special tour of the valley for groups of 6 people and
above which visits some unusual places not on the regular itinerary
due to time constraints and numbers. We visit the market at
Pisaq and then the Ruins above the town. Next stop is a voluteer
clinic treating local peasants with no resources. Then to a
local farm for a tour and a great lunch before visiting the
small ruins of Urco. On our way back to Cusco we stop at Chincheros.
Price
depends upon group size but will be around 30.00 USD including
lunch.
Adventure
sports and activities
There
are many many options from white water rafting and horse ridding
to bunge jumping and paragliding. Let us know what you would
like to do and we can quote.
